Subha San Jose 408-287-2465 Modern synth textures meet earthen grooves grounding each composition in a tribal dance. Music that evokes visions of ancient cultures enmeshed with contemporary electronica. Songs like "Manhattan Rush Hour" could easily complement a 90's version of Fiddler on the Roof while dance numbers like "Alone by the Sea" with its driving pulse could pack a Euro-Dancefloor. Subha plays/programs all the instruments on this
CD choosing to skip superfluous lyrics and focus on melodic content. The
heart of the future in modern music culture beats within this album.

"ILLUSIONS"
Seacliff Records
The style of this album by Hindu composer Subha is within Synth-Pop, although with certain,
very personal elements of the artist. The melodies, with a certain romantic, symphonic air, are
well present throughout the entire album, and reveal the talent of the musician. Almost all the
music is very dynamic, with upbeat percussive rhythms and some sequencers, although there
also are slow parts. In a word, this is a very pleasant work to listen to and it may delight the
fans of Yanni, Giorgio Moroder and other Synth-Pop artists.A. HINOJOSA
